Joe Stallmann started Olympic Fence, Inc. 36 years ago and has been active in the Maryland market continually ever since. Olympic installed the fence and handrails at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Ravens Stadium, to name two of hundreds of installations.
In 1990 the company branched out into guardrail installation and the name was changed to Olympic Fence & Guardrail Inc.
In 2003 Patrick Collison joined Joe forming Olympic Fence & Guardrail LLC.
After 2003 we moved completely away from residential work and focused primarily on commercial and industrial projects with an emphasis on Home Land Security work. We have installed K-12 rated gates and barriers for clients such as NSA and Northrop Grumman. Our work in vehicle restraint cable systems took us into installing cable barrier systems in precast parking garages.
We have also established ourselves as the go to company for performing projects most fence companies would stay away from, such as rebuilding a 40 year old 160’ wide double slide aluminum runway gate for Northrop Grumman while they were under flight conditions and while maintaining security.
Due to our security work and other reasons we do not use subcontractors. All of our employees were US born. We found besides making our entry into secured sites efficient it gives us a much better control over schedule and quality. Our crews report to the yard and are dispatched in company trucks to the job sites.
